Every cartridge passes through multiple quality control inspections throughout the manufacturing process. Case dimension, Powder charge, overall length, primer seating, case condition, and finished cartridge appearance are all verified before packaging.
Yes. Production lots are tested to verify pressure, velocity, function, and accuracy in our onsite ballistics lab before release.

Accuracy
Accuracy has been the foundation of HSM since its beginning. Every load is engineered for consistent velocities and reliable precision using carefully selected components.
It means HSM manufactures ammunition with the same attention to detail that experienced handloaders expect, delivering premium performance without requiring customers to reload their own ammunition.
Premium bullets, carefully selected powders, tight quality control, and consistent manufacturing provide better accuracy and dependable terminal performance where it matters most.
Published velocities are obtained under standardized testing conditions. Actual velocities vary depending on barrel length, chamber dimensions, temperature, elevation, and chronograph setup.
Every manufacturer develops loads using different bullet designs, powders, pressure limits, and performance objectives. Velocity alone is not an indicator of overall performance.
HSM publishes ballistic information when available from the projectile manufacturer. Ballistic coefficients are established by the bullet manufacturer rather than the ammunition manufacturer.

Cowboy Action ammunition is loaded to provide reliable function, mild recoil, and consistent accuracy for Cowboy Action Shooting competition and is excellent range and recreational shooting ammunition.
While capable of harvesting game within appropriate limitations, Cowboy Action ammunition is primarily intended for target shooting and competition.
Reloading
Most Boxer-primed HSM brass can be reloaded when it remains within safe dimensional tolerances. Always follow safe reloading practices.

Berger bullets are known for exceptional ballistic performance, outstanding consistency, and reliable terminal performance at extended hunting distances. HSM Trophy Gold incorporates Berger projectiles to deliver premium hunting ammunition.

HSM selects powders based on each individual cartridge to achieve safe pressures, reliable ignition, consistent velocities, and optimal accuracy. For safety reasons, HSM does not publish proprietary powder formulations.

Safety
Keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction for at least 30 seconds, then follow your firearm manufacturer’s instructions before removing the cartridge. Contact HSM if you believe there is a product issue.

HSM ammunition is warranted against material and workmanship defects. If the ammunition is found to be defective due to material or workmanship, HSM will replace the defective ammunition at no charge to the customer.
