Ammo Status June 2014

No doubt everyone is still struggling with the shortage of numerous types of ammunition that has been affecting many shooters for the past few years. Unfortunately, we don’t have any good news to report on that situation improving in the near future except for a few items.

The rush seems to be easing a bit on the earliest cartridges to suffer, namely, 223/5.56, 308/7.62, 9mm, 40, 45 but some rifle cartridges like 300 Win Mag, 243, 300 RUM, 7mm STW, 7mm RUM, are still almost impossible to find.

260 Remington brass (Remington) has been in short supply but we are now able to load the 260’s using Lapua brass at an increase in cost.

300 RUM brass should be available in the next 30-45 days so there should be some 300 RUM Trophy Gold® on the shelves before start of hunting season.
